All Of Me Beta Invites - New lifestream timeline

All Of Me, a new lifestream visualizer is out in closed beta. Although they don't offer an RSS feed importer, they link to flickr, YouTube, Twitter and Picassaweb and will soon add Facebook and Google Calendar. You can also upload local images, videos and web pages from your computer. One nice unique feature out soon is a playable, embeddable widget that comes in a number of styles.

I have 100 beta invites to share, so feel free to give it a try.

  1. It seems really amazing. My only concern is privacy. We seem to be moving more and more to posting our entire lives on the Internet. And yes you can limit just to friends. But that can be very limiting.

And who do I sign up as, my SL avatar, or my RL human self? It becomes a very sticky question as I continue to join social networking type sites. Maybe I don't want my SL friends to know my RL name, etc. But at the same time, I want them to be connected to my social networks. If I sign up as my SL avatar, it protects my RL privacy, but could be confusing to my RL friends. How do we blog, social network, etc., and keep our two selves separate? I'm not sure I know how to. And if I integrate them, how would I do that?

Anyone have any suggestions or feedback?

  3. princess: Great questions. If you want to maintain public pseudonymity, one way to handle it is to keep two separate identities on each service you use, and tell "crossover" friends individually of your other identity sites.

  4. gospeed: When you hit the invite link in the blog post, you should be taken to a registration page with a "Let's Go" button in the bottom right section. That will take you through the registration process. Here's the link:
